On Thursday, March 31st 2011, students of D.J. Studios Karate sponsored a Kick-a-Thon to benefit the Relay-For-Life Organization. Students of D.J. Studios Karate sought donors, to pledge a small amount of money for each kick that was performed. Then, with the guidance of Master David Josefik, students performed 1,000 kicks in 35 minutes, raising over $5,100.00 to donate to the Relay-for-Life. The event was held at the 1921 Philips Hotel, in Philipsburg,PA, and was sponsored by the following local businesses: Golden Dragon Family Training Center, Tom's Auto Repair, T.L. Bainey, Inc., Lorie's Beauty Salon, Haney Building & Remodeling, Navasky Foundation, Wreck Center, Snappy's, HFL Corporation, Country Convenience, HC Hoodco, Inc., Tim Way Construction, Decatur Distributing, Keystone Garage, Hamer's Garage, G & R Excavating, Bill's Garage, Bionol Clearfield LLC, Champions Choice Sports, Leslie's Razors Edge Salon, McCracken Tire and Auto, Pick Chiropractic Center, Pick Research Solutions, and Christoff Mitchel Petroleum, Inc.
